Achievement of Collections Excellence Awards (ACE)

 

The National Governmental Collectors Association is a non-profit education based organization that recognizes, supports, and serves governmental collections nationwide. The association seeks to enhance the collection of revenue for governmental entities by providing opportunities for the development of quality collections professionals committed to the highest standards of excellence.

It is the vision of the National Governmental Collectors Association to be a global leader in achieving a broad-based, forward-thinking organization committed to success through the continuous implementation of the core values of integrity, diversity, visionary leadership, innovation, and collaboration.   

The National Governmental Collectors Association in and effort to identify, recognize, and reward members demonstrating the effective and efficient collection of due revenue and who have set and achieved a standard of  excellence, has established the Achievement of Collections Excellence (ACE) awards.   The ACE awards will be bestowed annually at the national conference.

 

ACE AWARD CATEGORIES

 

National Collector of the Year

 

Awarded to the collector selected as having had the greatest impact on collections and the collections effort for their collections program, division, unit, or organization in the last year.

 

National Collections Program of the Year

 

Awarded to the program, division, unit, or organization demonstrating the greatest positive impact on revenues for the governmental entity it serves for their city or county in the last year.

 

NOMINATION PROCESS

 

You and your nominee must be a current active member of the National Government Collectors Association.  You must submit a prospectus detailing why your nominee should receive the award in the category you specify. Your nomination must include:

  • Your name, title, and organization represented
  • Nominee’s name, title, and organization represented
  • Awards category

Your submissions may be either in written or video format.   Please give examples and provide support that can document the achievements of your nominations.   You may submit nominations via fax at (936) 538-8057 or email at njenkins@co.montgomery.tx.us no later than midnight, MONDAY, AUGUST 31, 2009. Winners will be announced at the National Governmental Collectors Conference in October.
